The head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, commented on the 2-0 victory over Zorya in the match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian championship on the broadcast.
- It is always important to win. But in football, not everything happens as you plan. Today, the weather conditions made adjustments to the game. But despite everything, we controlled the game, tried to have more possession of the ball, to look for moments to open up the opponent's strong defence. We scored a goal and had a few more chances. And we tried to deprive the opponent of opportunities to launch counterattacks. I think that taking into account all the circumstances, especially the weather, we can thank the guys for the game and the result.
- Are you satisfied with Dynamo's active pressure from the first minutes?
- We talked about it. We had to have the initiative and the ball to make it move more. And when you play with the ball, you have more opportunities and the opponent has fewer.
- How important was it to score against Vanata today?
- For me, the team's result is the most important thing. And it is not so important who puts an end to the team's attacking actions. I am happy with all the successful actions of our players, both in attack and defence. This is the work of a coach. I'm happy for Vlad, happy for Denis Popov, who finally scored, happy for the fans, who I hope enjoyed the game. And once again, I want to thank our military, our defenders for the opportunity to host this championship. And to play with the fans.
