Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Vladyslav Kabaev shared his impressions of yesterday's match with Zorya Luhansk (2:0) in the 21st round of the Ukrainian Championship, and also told how his team reacted to the missed victory in the duel with Veres (1:1) in the last round.

- We played against Zorya, whose players also wanted to achieve a result. Yes, the guests had a lot of young guys in the starting lineup, but they wanted to prove themselves. Against Dynamo Kyiv everyone gives their best. Snowfall also brought a lot of problems. There was a lot of snow and it was hard to work with the ball. The weather conditions equalised our chances with the opponent, I think so. The main thing is to win.
- Today the score was 1:0 for quite a long time. And we know that this is a dangerous result...
- Of course, we wanted to increase our advantage as quickly as possible. We want to score two or three goals in the first half and decide everything. In the match with "Zorya" it was really difficult. It is not easy to beat someone, as it is difficult to control the ball on the snow.
- Denys Popov does not often score goals. Today he scored his first goal in the UPL this season...
- Denys is a defender, he needs to chew everything out from behind. This goal is a nice bonus for him.
- Let's go back a few days, when Dynamo missed the victory in the match with Veres at the last minute of the game. Was it hard to come back from this failure?
- We were returning home by bus, it is clear that it was unpleasant to miss the victory. The mood was not the best. The next day we gathered at the base and talked. It is important that we discussed everything and with positive emotions we were preparing for the match with "Zoria". We should not get down on ourselves after one failure. We should not lower our heads, otherwise we would not have won against Zorya. It is very difficult to win all the matches. I think that in Rivne we did not play our own football. Against us we also play quality players who want to succeed.
- In Rivne Oleksandr Shovkovskiy substituted Dyachuk and Sirota and Dynamo finished the game with six defenders. Experts do not recall Dynamo Kyiv playing with six defenders. Maybe that's why they failed to win the game?
- And who said that it can`t be done like that? I played with Veres with an injury, and today too. I have a tear of the adductor muscle. Our head coach saw that I made a lot of mistakes with Veres. He replaced me at the end of the game, as well as Voloshin.
And who was to be released? Yarmolenko is injured, Tsarenko, Buyalskiy and Supryaga were not available. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy saw that the opponents used long passes, playing on their attacking line players. He wanted to release more defenders to win that game. If we had not conceded a goal then, nobody would have said anything.
- In spring, the leaders have already played four matches each. Only Shakhtar and Dynamo are steadily gaining points. Why Dnipro-1, Kryvbas and Polesie started to lose points so often?
- Everyone loses points. I can speak for our team: "Dynamo" is a brand of Ukrainian football. We need to prove in every match that we have the best Ukrainian players. We have to prove it on the football field.
- On the 21st of March the Ukrainian national team will play a knockout match with Bosnia and Herzegovina for the right to play in the final part of the European Championship. What are the chances of our national team to make it to the Euro?
- I believe in our national team. Now we have a lot of young, but already talented guys who play in leading European clubs. 100% I believe in Ukrainian players and I think that they will do well.
