Bosnian coach Rusmir Cviko, who was part of the previous coaching staff of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, has revealed what he thinks about his country's national team's match against Ukraine in the play-off round of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle.
"I think it's time to make a breakthrough, but it won't be easy at all, given that the Ukraine national team is a very good team. It's enough to look at those who perform in its squad and which clubs these players represent.
There is no need to talk about ourselves. We know who we are and what we are. Our biggest problem is that we think too highly of ourselves and therefore underestimate our opponents.
But our players have everything to perform successfully at such a high level. There should be no rush, we need to be smart, rely on experience, prepare well and then, in the game itself, give their best. I have already said that the Ukraine national team is above us in terms of quality, but it does not mean that it should qualify for the European Championship. I look at our prospects with optimism and wish good luck to our national team," reprezentacija.ba quoted Zviko as saying.
