On March 22 and 26, the youth national team of Ukraine will play its next matches - a friendly with Morocco U-23 and an official one in the Euro 2025 (U-21) qualifiers against Azerbaijan. On the eve of these matches, the head coach of the blue and yellows Unai Melgosa answered questions from the UAF press service.

- We formed the final application after we understood which players would go to the national team. We also took into account which of the potential candidates was injured. I hope that everyone on the final list will be healthy.
- What conclusions did you draw after your match against Azerbaijan last year?
- It was a difficult game. We tried, but not without difficulty, to find a way to cause the Azerbaijanis the most problems. We knew that they would defend and that we had to be ready to counterattack. My conclusion is that we need to improve our game to play a quality match against Azerbaijan and continue our positive run.
- Will there be any representatives of the coaching staff at the Azerbaijan vs England match?
- We will work together all week in Antalya, we will play a friendly against Morocco U-23. Of course, we will also watch Azerbaijan's match against England, but not live, but on video.
- What information do you have about the Moroccans?
- The most important thing is that they have changed their head coach. We are aware of the qualities inherent in this team, they have creative players who can play one-on-one. We will see. But it will definitely be a good test for us. As I always say, we need to be close to the best versions of ourselves to perform well against such teams.
- In the match against Morocco, will you try to experiment with the line-up or will you rely on the main players?
- This match is important in particular because we have a good opponent. And the players have to prove themselves. We want to give them this opportunity. I would like to test as many players as possible on the field in this match.
