Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has left the French national team ahead of friendly matches due to an ankle injury, ESPN reports.

Griezmann holds a world record of 84 consecutive matches in the international arena. But that streak came to an end after he withdrew from Didier Deschamps' squad ahead of the friendly matches against Germany and Chile.
