Former Dynamo head coach Jozsef Szabo expressed his opinion on Anatoliy Tymoshchuk's lawsuit against the UAF, which will soon be considered by the CAS.
Jozsef Szabo- Why won't Tymoshchuk calm down, what is his goal in Lausanne?
- Is Tymoshchuk suing the UAF? No way! He simply has no brains, since he will not calm down. He once deserved these awards, but he betrayed the country. We need to remind Tymoshchuk that he is from Volyn and tell him how many people in this region are fighting and dying from Russian aggression.
- If, God forbid, the SAS decides in Tymoshchuk's favour, what should we do then, return his regalia?
- Even if he wins the trial, he will not return to Ukraine, he will not be allowed to come back, unless he uses a different name somehow. Tymoshchuk is to blame. A lot of guys came back from Russia, and he started to sue. He should have been thinking not about money, but about his prestige and family. He abandoned his children and does not pay child support. This shows what a bad person Tymoshchuk is.
He is not such a great footballer to talk about. Right now, they write about Milevsky every day. He's a drunk! Why write so much about him? Such a person cannot be set as an example for children. Yes, Milevsky was a good footballer, but he took a different path. He recovered from alcoholism - well done! But you shouldn't write about him all the time, there are more worthy people who deserve attention.
- Do you think Tymoshchuk will get a Russian passport?
- Maybe he has already received a Russian passport, we don't know.
- During the war, many countries sentenced traitors to death. Do you think Tymoshchuk deserves such a punishment?
- God gave man life, and only he has the right to take it away. Why should we kill Tymoshchuk? We have already rejected him, and this is the punishment. His conscience will not allow him to live in peace.
- If Tymoshchuk wants to wash away his shame with blood, will he return to Ukraine, join the Armed Forces and go to the front line to fight against the Russians?
- No one will let Tymoshchuk go to the front. He will not be trusted. Perhaps he has already been recruited by Russian special services. But Tymoshchuk will not do this. He is sitting quietly in Russia and earning money. However, I am sure that his conscience will eventually torture him.
