On Tuesday, on the final day of the Spanish training camp, the Ukrainian national team held a morning training session at the Banus Football Centre.
As if to say goodbye and to remember, the temperature rose to 23 degrees Celsius (yesterday was a relatively cloudy day). The effect of climatic conditions in Marbella is due to the high cliff "La Concha", which protects the local coast from winds and bad weather. It is because of this natural barrier that the weather is always favourable here, with almost no rain, and the summer heat is easier to bear thanks to the sea breeze.
Twenty-seven of the 28 players took part in Tuesday's collective training session. Viktor Tsygankov continues to perform individual tasks to restore the damaged knee ligament under the close supervision of doctors and a physical training coach.
Meanwhile, after jogging and warming up the muscles, the whole team performed ball exercises, including coordination and passing. Coordination, agility and speed of decision-making were also enhanced by the following game session, during which players from one team had to take the other team's players out of the game by passing the ball with their hands and "knocking" their opponents out.
As expected, the main part of the training session was devoted to practising tactical plays and working out the structure of the game. At the end of the session, the players had a little practice in hitting eleven-metre shots.
After the morning session, the national team briefly returned to the hotel to take a shower and have lunch. Immediately afterwards, the national team left for the airport in Malaga.
The flight to Sarajevo lasted about three hours. The Ukrainians settled in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, the national team will hold an official training session at the Bilino Pole arena in Zenica, where the match will take place on 21 March. The pre-match session will start at 18:30 Kyiv time. Half an hour beforehand, the national team's head coach Serhii Rebrov and one of the Blue and Yellows players will meet with the media in the stadium's conference room.
