Dani Alves' lawyers post €1m bail for footballer

The lawyers of former Barcelona defender Dani Alves have posted a bail of one million euros for their client, Mundo Deportivo reports.

Earlier, a Barcelona court ruled to release former Brazilian national team defender Dani Alves from custody on bail of €1 million, but the footballer did not have the funds to pay the above amount immediately. Currently, the footballer's family has managed to find the money, so Dani Alves will be released from prison in the near future.

Dani Alves will remain free while the appeal against his sexual assault is being considered. In January 2023, Alves was charged with raping a girl at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona. On 20 January, the former footballer was taken into custody.
