Iceland and Italy's Genoa midfielder Albert Gudmundsson has eloquently described the emotions surrounding the defeat to Ukraine (1-2) in the final play-off round of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
"It's hard to take, but life goes on. Good luck to Malinovsky (Gudmundsson's partner at Genoa, - ed.) and Zinchenko!", - wrote Gudmundsson on his page in the social network Instagram.
This post did not go unnoticed by the Ukrainian defender of London Arsenal Oleksandr Zinchenko, who wrote in the comments to it: "Baller", which in British slang meaning "outstanding footballer".
We shall remind you that it was Gudmundsson who scored the only goal for Ukraine.
