A high-profile scandal occurred in the Belgian championship match between Westerlo and Genk, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the 79th minute, Westerlo took the lead, and in the 86th minute, Genk managed to equalise. Both teams were happy with a draw: Westerlo was avoiding the relegation zone, and Genk was in the championship play-offs, so neither team wanted to attack.
It is already known that after the match, all the players of the Westerlo vs Genk match, including Ukrainian Serhiy Sydorchuk, were fined, and the team captains and head coaches were disqualified.
