In the 44th minute Chelsea were awarded a penalty, which was realised by K. Palmer, and the home side took the lead at half-time. However, Burnley took the lead in the second half and equalised in the 47th minute thanks to a goal from J. Cullen. Chelsea regained the lead in the 78th minute when K. Palmer scored his second goal of the match. But Burnley didn't give up and managed to equalise in the 81st minute thanks to a goal from D. O'Shea. The match ended with both teams sharing the points, with Chelsea failing to capitalise on their opportunities to win. As a result, both teams have a lot to work on in order to rise in the Premier League table in the coming matches.
