Metalist 1925 head coach Viktor Skrypnyk commented on his team's defeat by Zorya in the 22nd round of the Ukrainian championship:
"What did the team lack? Scoring goals is very simple. I told the team that I am not ashamed of this defeat, we played with a very powerful team on equal terms. We also see the individual skills of the players on the football field. But the dedication, the construction of the game, the attitude to business were on par.
Everyone is upset because we did not get what we expected. According to the game, a draw would have been a fairer result. Unfortunately, football is like that. We just have to prepare for the next matches.
You know the statistics, there are problems. I say again that we are also trying to deal with this, we are working on it. However, the game shows that we have problems. We have no right to give up. We still have matches where we can save ourselves, we have to wait for the victory we have been waiting for for a long time," Metalist 1925's official website quoted Skrypnyk as saying.
