This match was an away match for our team and took place at the Molodizhnyi Stadium in Poltava. It is worth noting that in the previous rounds, Dynamo scored 51 points and took first place in the standings. Vorskla was in 9th place with 26 points.
Dynamo started the match actively, and the very first attack by the White and Blues resulted in a goal. Matkevych put Kremchanin one-on-one with the goalkeeper with a great pass, he got close to the goal and sent the ball into the net from the penalty area with a well-aimed shot - 1-0. The hosts tried to keep possession of the ball, but each time it was intercepted in time by Kyiv and developed their attacks. However, Poltava managed a few sharp attacks, but our team's defence acted reliably, so all the opponents managed to achieve was two consecutive corner kicks.
In several episodes, goalkeeper Surkis had to come into play, in particular, after a free kick, he confidently knocked the ball out with his fists and eliminated the threat. On the visitors' side, we note a promising shot by Bilyi, which also ended in a corner. Once more, Dynamo struck a long-range shot, which the Vorskla defence was able to deal with. In general, in the first half, the main threat to the goals of both teams came from set pieces.
However, our team scored the next goals after set pieces. But at first, Poltava tried to create tension at Surkis' goal, but no one responded to Baginsky's promising shot. But Dynamo launched a quick attack after the ball was played from the goal: Bilyi found Osypenko with a good pass, he burst into the penalty area and hit the far corner of the goal from an acute angle - 2-0. And just two minutes later, Gusev made it a big score when he found himself in the centre of the penalty area, responded to a flank pass from the left and did not waste his opportunity - 3-0. So Kyiv went into the break with a comfortable lead.
The hosts started the second half more actively, trying to get back into the game. But Dynamo did not give them such an opportunity. Perhaps Shevchenko came closest to reducing the deficit, but he missed the far corner from a good position. The visitors had several good opportunities to score more, but in the final stages each time they lacked just a little bit. In particular, our team had a good shot by Osipenko, but the opponents managed to knock the ball out for a corner.
Shortly before the final whistle, Kalin broke through to the goal, then the ball was in Lobko's hands, but goalkeeper Yashchenko managed to deal with his shot from close range. And our striker was offside. Despite a sufficient number of chances to score, the spectators did not see any more goals. Although in stoppage time, Yashchenko saved his team twice, including after Salenko's close-range shot. In general, Kyiv controlled the game and confidently brought it to a 3-0 victory.
It should be noted that Dynamo U-19 will play their next match in the Ukrainian Youth Championship on Sunday, 7 April, at home against LNZ (Cherkasy).
