Next Thursday, Dynamo will play the postponed match of the 6th round of the Ukrainian championship against Zorya Luhansk. This match will be nominally an away match for our team, but will take place in Kyiv at the Dynamo Valeriy Lobanovsky Stadium.
Photo: fcdynamo.comAfter their last game against Vorskla in Poltava on Sunday, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's men are traditionally preparing for the next match at their club base in Vita-Litovska. Since Monday, the White and Blues have been working in a one-off training session.
Due to the busy schedule of games (Dynamo have to play three matches in 8 days), the team's training is somewhat light, with an emphasis on ball handling. On Tuesday, the training session started with theory, after which the players took to the pitch. The part that took place outside lasted about an hour and a half. It should be noted that several players from Dynamo's youth team were involved in working with the main squad.
First, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi gathered the players in a semicircle and announced the work plan. As usual, the training session began with a short run and warm-up. The coaching staff offered the players an exercise in which they could only touch the ball with their heads, as well as score. After five accurate passes, a goal counted as two. The players took to the task with special excitement, enthusiasm and pleasure. Each goal scored was accompanied by emotional shouts and favourable comments. The game turned out to be tense, at one point the score was 3:3, which made the exercise even more interesting.
The players then split into several groups to play different combinations, work on ball possession, passing, and connecting to attacks from deep in the field. Attention was also paid to tactical schemes, in particular, offensive and defensive actions.
The training session ended with the completion of attacks, including passes to the wing and subsequent crosses into the penalty area.
On Wednesday morning, the players will have a theoretical session, lunch and rest, after which our team will have an evening training session and spend the night at the base on the eve of the match.
Just like before the previous match, on the day of the game, after breakfast, the players will gather for a pre-match training session and travel to the Dynamo Lobanovskyi Stadium, where the match will take place. As a reminder, the match between Zorya and Dynamo will kick off at 15:30.
