Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola reacted to the words of former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane, who called the Citizens' Norwegian forward a "fourth-tier footballer".
"I am surprised when former players say this. I understand when journalists can say it, but ex-footballers - I'm surprised. It's like former referees criticising referees. Memory fades quickly. Is Holland a fourth-league footballer? I absolutely disagree with him. He's the best forward in the world and he helped us win what we won last season. He's exceptional," Guardiola was quoted as saying by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter page.
