Israeli midfielder Arad Bar, who joined LNZ last winter from Swiss side Zurich, told us how he made the decision to continue his career in a country at war.

Arad Bar

"My situation at Zurich was strange because they bought me in the summer, but I didn't get any opportunity to play. So in January, I was looking for other options to play in a great league in Europe. I got a good offer from LNZ, it's a promising project with good conditions, so it was the best decision for me.

I tried to get all the information about the situation in Ukraine before I came to make sure it would be the right and safe place. So I talked to a few players who played here and I have a better understanding of the situation. Of course, it's not a pretty situation, but since my country is also at war, I know how it is.

I have never been to Ukraine, in fact this is my first time here, and I really like Ukraine. Unfortunately, the war is sad, but I am inspired by the way the Ukrainian people are holding on," Ukrainian Football quoted Bara as saying.
