Fiorentina's management continues to search for a successor to head coach Vincenzo Italiano, whose contract expires in June 2024.

However, the Griffins' management plans to meet with their head coach to discuss a possible extension of his contract. The club is ready to offer a new deal until 2026.
It will be recalled that Gilardino has been in charge of Genoa since December 2022, during which time the team returned to Serie A and managed to secure a place in the middle of the Serie A standings.
