Indeed, today, on 10.04.24, the Sumy City Council decided to terminate the municipal enterprise Football Club Sumy of the Sumy City Council by liquidation. I would like to emphasise that this is the municipal enterprise to which FC Sumy once transferred the rights to participate in competitions and professional certification.
At present, by the same decision of the City Council, the right to the sports results of FC Sumy, the trademark and its right to be certified for participation in the All-Ukrainian football competitions among teams of professional clubs have been returned to the City Council. Moreover, the UAF and PFL have already extended the professional status of FC Sumy and booked its participation in the championship among the teams-clubs of the second league of the PFL of Ukraine in the 2025/2026 season.
Thus, FC Sumy has extended the club's professional status, has a current president and fans. And after the war is over, the club will definitely continue to play and delight its fans with spectacular games and results," said Gennadiy Demyanenko.
