Former Romania midfielder Cătălin Munteanu has assessed the prospects of his country's national team at Euro 2024.

At the group stage of the tournament, the Romanian national team will play in a group with Ukraine, Belgium and Slovakia. In the opening match of the European championship Romanians will be waiting for a match with the Ukrainian national team.

"At Euro 2024 it will be important not to lose to Ukraine. This is a good team, with great potential - the level of the European Championship play-offs.

In general, I think we got a good group. We can well hope that the Romanian national team will get out of it," Sport.ro quoted Munteanu as saying.
