"So far this case is not spelt out in the statutes. As always, the German champions will receive the championship trophy," said the German Football Association.
As the publication notes, the German Football Union did not deny, but also did not confirm such a possibility, not responding to the publication's request.
If Bayer wins the championship, the awarding of the team will take place on 18 May in a match against Augsburg.
