Arsenal London fans criticised the team's Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zichnenko after yesterday's home match against Aston Villa (0:2).
The greatest dissatisfaction of the fans was caused by a gross positional error of the 27-year-old footballer when organising an artificial offside: Zinchenko positioned himself much "lower" than his defensive partners. Because of this mistake, Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey was not offside, although it did not lead to a goal
Here are just some of the comments on Twitter regarding Zinchenko's actions in the episode:
"This guy was a liability at Manchester City and he is a liability here. At best this mid-level left-back. And even that is a generous mark for him."
"I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it".
"Put Zinchenko in the forward line for Ukraine, he'll still drop back 10 yards".
"I wonder how Arteta still hasn't realised that Zinni can't play".
"Honestly, it looks terrible. What's he thinking?".
"Tired of Zinni, to be honest."
"That's the worst player we have. Zinchenko should never play for Arsenal again. Even if it's a friendly match."
"I've never seen such a thing before."
"It's ineptitude of the highest order. Will he really ever start a game in the starting line-up again?".
