According to journalist-blogger Volodymyr Zverov, football circles in Chernihiv are discussing the option of creating a new football club, Desna 1960.
Yunist Stadium (photo: cheline.com.ua)It will allegedly be difficult to "pull" the old Desna because of the destroyed UPL-level infrastructure and debts to former players. Instead, Desna 1960 will be a completely new entity and will begin its tournament journey in the second league.
According to the source, the "initiative group" for the creation of the new club has already had contacts with Oleksandr Riabokon. Desna 1960 will play at the Yunist stadium.
