The domestic information space has reported that the agent of Girona forward Artem Dovbyk, Oleksiy Lundovskiy, could be the reason for the Spanish club's financial fair play violation. "UVcontacted Oleksiy himself to find out the details of the situation.
Alexey Lundovsky and Artem Dovbyk- Mr Oleksiy, first of all, tell us, have you received any documents regarding the investigation?
- No, of course not! There are no "any" violations in this situation, and there are no cases either. No one is conducting any investigation, because everything has been done within the framework of the laws of Ukraine, Spain and football structures. It's just nonsense! I guarantee that it looks more like a case of slander.
- But it is alleged that you have created a separate foreign company with the name ALIK Football Management in the EU and thus caused taxation losses in Ukraine...
- That is why I say that there are no violations. Any citizen of Ukraine has the right to register a company abroad. What is the violation in this? It is also common in international football practice to set up representative offices, branches, legal entities and agencies abroad. This practice of making transfers is absolutely normal, and you will find signs of it in most international transfers. It is, of course, legal.
Now for the most important thing. Our company was registered in Estonia back in 2018. Why did someone pick it up now and make it the subject of news? Was someone hibernating, or did they just learn how to use Google? I don't know, but it looks very suspicious.
- So you're saying that you didn't violate anything? And how did Girona and Dovbyk himself react to this?
- They didn't. They have never even heard of any investigations.
- So how do you interpret this information?
- Only as slander, unsubstantiated and unknown for what reason. Everything is done according to the templates of Russian propaganda: a fact is taken (that there is a foreign company of our agency), third-party news is taken for the masses (I couldn't understand what the sentence about inspections in the Spanish football federation had to do with anything), and then mixed in proportions to make a sensation.
I was surprised by the tone of the news, which, let me remind you, contains no direct speech or official commentary. Who suspects what they suspect? There is no primary source, no direct quote, no documents. No one in Girona has heard anything, and the tone is affirmative, as if it were a fact, even though there is no evidence.
In fact, the only thing that is interesting in this situation is who benefits from such a "duck" being laid right now?
- And who? Do you suspect anyone in particular?
- Everyone who does something, and does it successfully, is envied. I also have envious people and detractors. However, it is not my business to investigate who started this rumour, but our lawyers will look into the source of the information so that my good name with a long-standing reputation is not tarnished by such insinuations.
