"This decision I made at the call of my heart. I am honoured to coach the national team and work with the best players in the country. Thanks to the successful performances, we have a chance to inspire the whole country. The two victories over France and the Netherlands in March gave us the chance to feel that. I was very touched by the enthusiasm of the fans.
Now we all want to have a successful home European Championship together - that's what we are all waiting for. After that, together with my coaching team, I am looking forward to the challenge of the World Cup," Nagelsmann said.
