- Do you think Dynamo is at the peak of its form now, at the end of the season?
- I don't know about the peak of form, but I really like both Shakhtar's and Dynamo's games and the condition of the national team players. This is especially important, they show their readiness in matches. Before Euro 2024, we have a lot of information to prepare for the tournament in the best possible way.
- There is a month and a half left before Euro 2024. In addition to the absence of injuries and the availability of game practice, what other aspects are important for the national teams?
- All aspects are important. I believe that we have done an important job for the whole country, but now we need to not just go to Euro 2024, but represent our country with dignity. It is very important for me and the players to prepare to show our strength.
- Andriy Yarmolenko did not play in the play-offs due to injury. Now he is getting fit, scoring and making assists. How would you assess his condition?
- I am pleased that he is getting enough game practice after a long absence due to injury. We will be watching not only Andriy, but also all the players who play in our championship, and after its completion we will look at their condition.
- From what you saw at Dynamo's training session, are there any players whose efforts you appreciated the most?
- I travel a lot, I watch the training sessions, so I basically know the condition of the players. I am interested in watching the training process.
- Can we expect new faces in the national team for Euro 2024?
- You can always hope for that. But, unfortunately, we have a limited application of 23 players, although we expected to have 26. This is an even greater responsibility on the players, because there are only 23 places in the national team, and they must prepare as much as possible to show their best qualities.
- So there can be newcomers in friendly matches, but experienced players will go to Germany?
- I said there can always be newcomers. Who would have thought that Brazhko would be in our national team for two play-off matches...
- How will young players be divided between the national and youth teams? Will there be any conversation between the coaching staffs, how will you prioritise?
- The national team has always been a priority. Ask any footballer where he wants to play, and everyone will say that in the national team. This is the face of the country. And then we will deal with the candidates for the youth team.
