The UEFA Refereeing Committee has released the list of 18 chief referees, their assistants and video assistants who will officiate the 51 matches of the Euro 2024 final tournament. The list also includes Ukrainian referees Mykola Balakin and Oleksandr Berkut, who will work as fourth or reserve referees.

In addition, as at Euro 2020, as part of a co-operation agreement between UEFA and the South American football confederation CONMEBOL, Argentina's referee Facundo Telho and his crew will join the selected European referees at the tournament in Germany.

"Euro 2024 is the pinnacle of European football at national team level. The best teams compete here and that is why we have selected the best referees to work these matches," he said. All the referees selected have consistently met the highest standards in UEFA's top tournaments as well as in their national competitions. They are exceptionally well prepared to work at this level and we have every confidence that they will perform at their best in the final tournament," UEFA's managing director of refereeing Roberto Rosetti said

Each refereeing team will consist of a head referee, two assistant referees, a fourth referee, a reserve assistant referee in the stadium and a team of three video support referees. Selected assistant chief referees* will act as the fourth referee. The full composition of all referee teams can be found here.

Referee training for Euro 2024 will include a course for all chief referees, their assistants and video support referees. It will take place in mid-May in Frankfurt.

During the final tournament, the chief referees, their assistants and helpers will be based in Frankfurt. The video referees will be based in Leipzig and will work at the International Broadcasting Centre during the matches.
