National football has suffered a heavy loss - a man who enriched it with his knowledge, experience, outstanding professional and personal qualities has passed away.
Mykhailo Ivanovych was a truly outstanding figure in the football world, leaving a bright mark in the history of the leather ball in Ukraine and abroad. One of the irreplaceable players of Valery Lobanovsky's miracle team of the mid-1970s, and later a talented, progressive coach, he did a lot for the positive image of our football.
My sincere condolences to Mykhailo Fomenko's family and friends, and to the entire football family of Dynamo Kyiv.
A part of his merit will always be in the greatest achievements of our football, and his good memory will always remain.
