Minaya head coach Zeljko Ljubenovic shared his memories of his former mentor Mikhail Fomenko, who passed away last Monday at the age of 76. Recall that when he was a player, Ljubenovic played, among other things, in Simferopol "Tavria", which was then coached by Fomenko (from 2006 to 2008).

I learnt from him that selection is extremely important in football, for which I am very grateful to him. It helps me in my current work. Under Fomenko there was a very big progress in my career for two years. I believe that it is his greatest merit that I made such a career in Ukraine. It was after working with this coach that everything was much easier for me.
I remember, every time he appeared at the training, there was such silence, as if the president had come. This shows how great a man he was. Eternal memory to Mikhail Ivanovich.
