Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has received a tempting offer to continue his career in a new capacity.
Bucharest-based Rapid have offered the 78-year-old specialist the position of the club's general director and a five-year contract. Dan Shucu, one of the owners of Rapid, told Romanian publication Fanatik.
"Our priority these days is Mircea Lucescu. We are only working on formalising a partnership with him! Everything else can wait.
Lucescu is a specialist who fits the model of professional football. If he agrees to our proposal, then all the technical and sporting parts of the club will be under his control. I am optimistic. I think everything will be resolved within a week," Shucu also said.
