Many people did not understand Vladislav Kabaev's transfer to Dynamo in the summer of 2022. Benjamin Verbych decided to move to Panathinaikos. Therefore, Kyiv found a replacement for the Slovenian in Zorya.
At the beginning of his performances for Dynamo, Kabaev left more questions than answers. He didn't really fit in with Dynamo or Mircea Lucescu's football. Somehow, he could not be called Verbych's replacement. At the same time, Zorya have loaned out several players. Among them is Nazariy Rusyn, who was one of the best players in the UPL last season and was sold for €2 million to Sunderland.
Hard work on himself and a change of coach led to Kabayev's eventual success. Now he is not only the main player of the team, but also scores. This season he has 5 goals and 2 assists. The progress is just crazy compared to the previous season. Dynamo players have potential. You just need to be able to work with them. Oleksandr Shovkovskyi has done a great job in this area.
Kabayev will be 29 on 1 August. Given his experience in the UPL. Psychologically and physically he is in his best years, we can expect his progress to continue. Vladyslav has a chance to become one of the team's leaders.
The Ukrainian national team will play at the Euros in the summer. While on the right flank there are Viktor Tsygankov and Andriy Yarmolenko with Oleksandr Zubkov, on the opposite flank there is only one Mykhailo Mudryk, who at 23 years old remains unstable. Given Kabayev's performances in the second part of the season, Vlad deserved his chance in the national team, no less than Zubkov. Oleksiy Hutsulyak, a direct competitor for the position, has not been showing the football he had in the first part of the season this spring. Kabayev has every chance of being included in the expanded list of candidates. The increase in the application to 26 players gives Dynamo a great chance of going to the Euros.
