Head coach of Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih Yurii Vernydub commented on his team's 0-1 defeat to Dnipro-1 in today's match of the 27th round of the Ukrainian championship.
"In my opinion, this is our worst game this season. It's hard to explain why it happened. But we are moving on, because there are three more rounds to go.
If we played like we did in the last 12-15 minutes, we could count on something. But I think Dnipro-1 deservedly won today. The 18-year-old Hajiyev scored a good goal - it was his first goal at a high level.
Did our team underestimate the opponent? Such questions make me smile. Absolutely not. Dnipro-1 has a great team and a very good selection of players - Svatok, Filippov, Pikhalonok, Tretyakov, Lednev, Adamyuk, Miroshnichenko, Hutsulyak... Yes, maybe some of them don't play, but the team has a powerful squad. And in my opinion, with such a squad, we should be among the winners of the championship. Therefore, any underestimation is out of the question," Vernydub's words are quoted by Kryvbas' official website.
