First-league Khust reported the disappearance of its player, Mykola Sirash, who was taken away from the local railway station by TCC representatives. The club issued an official statement in this regard.
"Mykola Sirash - one of the main players of FC Khust, today, 7 May, right from the city station was taken away by TCC workers and taken to the military recruitment office. At the time of detention the footballer was 25 years old, although the law has not yet come into force, the famous Khust TCC has its own rules of illegal detention of people. There is no contact with the footballer at the moment. Further fate is unknown.
There was no football in our city for a long time. Again FC "Khust" was able for 5 years to win the Championship of Transcarpathia, successfully debut in professional football, obtaining the right to represent Transcarpathia in the First League of Ukraine, one of the main directions of the club is the development of children's football. To date, 130 children of all ages are actively involved. The club exists solely at the expense of funds of not indifferent patrons.
But today we have to fight not only on the field with opponents, but also with the local TCC. The Ukrainian Championship is on the verge of collapse! Teams refuse to go to Khust because of the actions of the Khust TCC. Several clubs in Ukraine have been recognised as critical facilities, and their players have accordingly received reservations from mobilisation. Is it possible to hold an all-Ukrainian competition with 3 clubs participating? What should other clubs do? What kind of competition and football development can we talk about? Can Ukrainian professional clubs work in such conditions?
We ask for response and support from the head of UAF Andriy Shevchenko, the head of PFL Oleksandr Kadenko, the head of the regional military administration Viktor Nikita, the head of ZAF Ivan Duran and all those who are not indifferent to this situation.
The external enemy seeks to destroy us, our language, culture, sport.
Help save Ukrainian football", - the statement of FC Khust reads.
