In the key match of the U-19 Championship, Dynamo played away to the tournament leader Shakhtar. Before the reporting game, our opponent had a one-point advantage, so Kyiv only needed a victory to take first place.

As is often the case in such situations, the price of a mistake was very high, so both teams took no risks in the first half. The hosts had more possession, but they had a chance for Pushkarev in the 29th minute (a shot against the post) and a long-range shot under the crossbar (Surkis made an important save).
Dynamo played carefully and cautiously, looking for their moment and found it in the time compensated for in the first half. Osypenko's shot was blocked, but the ball bounced to Matkevych, who scored from a sharp angle - 1-0 in favour of Dynamo!
The second half began with a questionable sending off of Zakharchenko, who was shown a second yellow card by the referee in a situation where no warning was a more logical decision. Dynamo made a substitution, regrouped and scored the second goal fairly quickly.
In the 57th minute, Kremchanin passed into the opponent's penalty area, and defensive player Balaba made a decision like a forward with many years of experience - an accurate one-touch shot from 14 metres into the far corner!
The hosts had the majority of possession and the ball. Dynamo chose a more defensive variant of the game, which was logical given the score and other circumstances. But they failed to keep the result dry. In the 62nd minute, after a cross from the flank, Ogarkov scored with his head and the ball flew into the far corner on a difficult trajectory for the goalkeeper.
Both teams made a series of substitutions, but the game scenario did not change. Shakhtar attacked with great force, while Dynamo played defensively. In the 77th minute, the hosts created a scoring chance, but Gusev saved the team after a shot from a few metres.
Later on, Dynamo acted in an organised and precise defensive manner, most of the opponent's attacks were destroyed before the penalty area, and when the ball was near the goal, the cool actions of the defenders and goalkeeper prevented the opponents from striking the decisive blow.
As a result, it was a crucial victory for Ihor Kostiuk's team. "Dynamo is back on top!
