UEFA's shame: one of the performers on Euro 2024 soundtrack is a singer who supports Russians

The 2024 European Football Championship will start on 14 June. UEFA has presented the official song of the tournament. The Italian electronic trio MEDUZA, OneRepublic and German artist Leony have presented the official song of Euro 2024 - "Fire". It is already available on all streaming platforms.

In the summer of 2023, Ryan Tedder, lead singer of OneRepublic, called Russians "beautiful people" on his X page and promised to return to Russia when the "chaos is over". By "chaos", the singer meant Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

For this post, Tedder received a flurry of criticism and later deleted it.

Fans will be able to hear the official song at the end of the Euro 2024 closing ceremony, which will take place before the tournament final. It will take place on 14 July.
