Besiktas vice-president Hüseyin Yücel has claimed that the club are in talks with Jose Mourinho.
José Mourinho, Getty Images"I met with Jose Mourinho in Istanbul about a month ago. I told him that I wanted to see him at Besiktas, that he was in line with our philosophy. José replied that he would appreciate the opportunity when he received an offer. After a while, he gave his consent.
We will have another meeting next week, in Italy. He said that he wants to work at Besiktas.
Our club has met Mourinho's financial demands. We are working with sponsors and are ready to co-operate on the right terms. We will discuss Mourinho's appointment at the board meeting. Our last meeting will be held in Italy next week", - said Yucel in an interview with Sporx.
Recall, earlier there was information that "Besiktas" may be headed by Mircea Lucescu.
