Chelsea's head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been dismissed from his post as head coach of the London club, the club's official website reports.
According to the source, today, 21 May, Pochettino met with the club's sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart, as well as co-owner Behdad Egbali, and it was decided that the Argentine specialist would leave the Chelsea head coaching position.
"I would like to thank the Chelsea ownership group and the sporting director for the opportunity to be part of the history of this football club. The club is now well positioned to continue to move forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come," Mauricio Pochettino said.
It is noted that Pochettino and Chelsea ended their employment relationship in a great relationship. The London club will now begin the search for a new head coach for the team, which scored 63 points and finished sixth in the English Premier League this season.
