UAF Secretary General Ihor Hryshchenko spoke about the Tymoshchuk case, which was filed by the UAF with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
Igor Grishchenko- What's new in the Tymoshchuk case so far?
- On 22 March (the meeting took place on 22 April - ed.), a hearing was held at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and we are waiting for the result. We hope that our fellow arbitrators have heard our arguments and our position and will make a balanced, fair decision in this case.
- Nevertheless, it seems that Tymoshchuk is not alone. He is the most famous person whom I essentially call a "traitor", and you, as a lawyer, will probably be more careful in your statements. But in the UAF, I don't see any stories with other traitorous footballers.
- There are more than two dozen cases, as far as I remember. They are all under consideration now. I think that after Tymoshchuk's case, when we see the CAS decision and their approach to these cases, we will continue to consider these cases and make decisions.
