Napoli may announce the appointment of a new coach by the end of this week. According to several Italian publications, this role will be taken by the former Inter and Chelsea coach Antonio Conte.
Conte has previously been linked to the Neapolitan club. Even before the start of this season, the Italian specialist was considered a potential candidate for the position of coach of the Italian champion, but in the end, they opted for Rudi Garcia.
After an incredible previous season, Napoli did not have very satisfactory results this year, which led to three changes in the coaching staff during the year. Garcia was sacked on 14 November and Walter Mazzarri was appointed as his replacement, but he managed the team for an even shorter period and was replaced by Francesco Calzona on 19 February.
