The head coach of the Romanian national team, Edward Iordanescu, has spoken about his team's objectives for Euro 2024. The Romanian national team will play in the same group as Ukraine, Belgium and Slovakia at the group stage of the tournament.

Belgium national team? It's a great team, with great players with experience of playing at the highest level and undeniable value. Moreover, as a team, the Belgian national team has international experience with excellent results over the past decades, which we unfortunately lack. But our approach is based on getting the most out of every game, regardless of the name or reputation of our opponents.
We had a goal to qualify for the European Championships, and we did that. In the upcoming tournament, we will focus on showing our best game and at the same time utilise the weaknesses of our opponents. We don't have the goal of winning the group. But, as we showed in Euro qualification, if we get the opportunity, we will do everything we can to take advantage of it.
Playing a team with a lot of young players at such an international level is both a challenge and an opportunity. Every player has to give his best to the team and strive to turn every moment into an opportunity! I have created a team and, as my players often say, it is a small family.
