The Ukrainian national team continues to prepare for Euro 2024. The work for the players who came on as substitutes or did not participate in the 0-0 friendly with Germany on Monday began immediately after the game. 12 field players did running work on the pitch of the Max Morlock Stadium after the final whistle.

Just a few minutes after the team returned to the hotel last night, goalkeeper Andriy Lunin also arrived at Herzog Park. The teammates greeted this season's Champions League winner with friendly applause as he entered the hotel restaurant - the guys were about to grab something to eat after the game.

Yesterday morning, the same group of players who had been doing jumping jacks on the pitch after the match, supplemented by goalkeepers Georgiy Bushchan and Andriy Lunin, held their final training session at the first training camp at the Eltersdorf stadium in Erlangen. The main task set by coach Serhiy Rebrov was to get a workload equivalent to the game, because yesterday's starting lineup worked very hard in the match against the Germans, so today they had the opportunity to rest and recover.

Meanwhile, yesterday's group, after jogging and warming up, worked in variable squares, polishing their ball selection. After that, the players practiced holding the ball, divided into two teams according to the coach's plan. This was followed by a series of games and passing stations with shots on goal.

In the afternoon, the Blue and Yellows met with UEFA Managing Director of Refereeing Roberto Rosetti, who came to the location of the Ukrainian national team to tell the coaching staff and players about refereeing innovations at the Euro 2024 final tournament, including strengthening the role of the captain, to whom the referee will now explain the reason for his decisions if the team feels the need. At the same time, the rest of the players are strongly advised not to run up to the referee with complaints, otherwise there is a risk of receiving a warning. By the way, after the meeting with the Ukrainians, Rosetti immediately went to the German national team's Euro camp, which is located at the Adidas sports campus here in Herzogenaurach.

The Ukrainian national team left this small but iconic sports town yesterday, flying from Nuremberg Airport to Warsaw.

For the evening, the team's schedule includes only dinner, recovery and rest. Today, the second training camp for the Blue and Yellows before the Euros will begin.
