Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu attended yesterday's 0-0 friendly match between Romania and Liechtenstein and was very unhappy with it.
- We played against a team that did not cross the center of the field. You cannot have Liechtenstein as a "sparring partner" before the European Championship. No team will play at the Euros the way Liechtenstein plays. It was very difficult to break through their defense. They came here for the result. I can say that the match was just a training match, before the Euro debut. Nothing more," Romanian media quoted Lucescu as saying.
It will be recalled that the Romanian national team is a rival of the Ukrainian national team in the Euro 2024 group and in the opening match of the tournament.
