Southgate: "I've never seen any other team go on and get this kind of treatment"

England's head coach Gareth Southgate commented on the behavior of the fans after the third round of the Euro 2024 group stage match against Slovenia (0:0).

After the game, when Southgate approached the fans to thank them for their support, several plastic cups flew from the stand in the coach's direction.

"I understand it, I'm not going to hide. The most important thing is to stay with the team. A certain background is being created against me. I have not seen any other team go further and receive such an attitude. I'm very proud of the players," Goal quoted Southgate as saying.

The England national team took first place in Group C with five points.
