On June 28, the Ukrainian Football Association sent an official letter to UEFA pointing out an unacceptable error on the official UEFA Euro 2024 website.

Rasner"We are writing to you regarding an unfortunate mistake that was unfortunately discovered on the official UEFA Euro 2024 website, namely the fact that the business card of Ukrainian national football player Maksym Taloverov states that his country of birth is Russia, although in fact Maksym Taloverov was born in Donetsk in 2000.
Since 2014, the city of Donetsk has been temporarily occupied by Russia and is part of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), which is not recognized by international organizations (EU, UN, NATO, OSCE), the vast majority of UN member states and non-member states. In addition, UEFA's position on the occupied Ukrainian territories has been equally unequivocal and unchanged since 2014.
We assume that the situation described above was only an unintentional mistake, but in the third year of Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine with the particularly brutal and predatory aim of destroying our country and taking the lives of the Ukrainian people and Ukrainian children, we emphasize that this type of mistake is critical and completely unacceptable.
In this regard, on behalf of the Ukrainian people, we ask you to verify the circumstances of the described case and take measures to prevent such or similar cases in the future," the letter reads.
It is worth noting that UEFA demonstrated a quick response to this appeal from the UAF, having already corrected the misunderstanding.
