After Roman Hryhorchuk, now the former coach of Chornomorets Odesa, moved to Nafta Baku, the Seafarers' coaching staff suffered another loss. This concerns two of his assistants who have been working together since Hryhorchuk's first cadence in Odesa - Mykhailo Savka and Stepan Matviyiv.
As Sport.ua has learned, the first of them decided to suspend his coaching career at the end of the 2023/24 season and returned to his native Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The latter coached the Odesa team for five days - from the moment he returned from vacation until the expiration of his contract on June 30.
Until a new head coach is hired, Chornomorets will be coached by Serhiy Politylo, a former player who was invited to the team to take on the coaching role.
