Shakhtar midfielder Dmytro Kryskiv commented on his call-up to the Ukrainian national team to participate in the Summer Olympics.
"My emotions are positive! I am very happy that I will be able to represent the country at the Olympic Games, because we have been working towards this for a long time. Our journey has probably lasted two or three years, so I am very happy to be able to go to the Olympics and represent the Ukrainian national team.
It is important to glorify Ukraine during the war. Of course, there is a responsibility, but you don't need to pay attention to it so that it doesn't put pressure on you. You need to go out on the field and just play football, following the instructions of the head coach. Then we will look at the result and give our best to perform as well as possible in the competition and glorify Ukraine.
Our task is to prepare well and show the game that would be really good and produce results. We need to remember the coach's instructions during this minimal period and continue to adjust from match to match," Shakhtar's official website quoted Kryskiv as saying.
