Ukraine's head coach Serhii Rebrov commented on the national team's performance at Euro 2024.
"I believe that we did not show our full potential at Euro 2024. Our team is one of the youngest in this tournament, it has great prospects. Of course, everyone expected a different result now. And we ourselves - coaches and players - are also upset.
I believe that we made the right conclusions after the first match in the group. But it's still hard for me to explain why it happened in the game against Romania... We analyzed that first match with the players and in the second, against Slovakia, we showed a different motivation. The same applies to the match with Belgium. Yes, we also made some mistakes in those matches, but I think the most important thing is that Ukraine is represented in all the final tournaments. This is very important now, because we have a war going on in our country.
Now we need to analyze all the mistakes and start preparing for the fall matches in the League of Nations. We have to take into account the experience we have gained and successfully start the first full-fledged work cycle for our coaching staff at the head of the national team," said Rebrov.
