Odesa-based Chornomorets is looking for a head coach after Roman Hryhorchuk left the club. As previously reported, Odesa considered the candidacies of three specialists - Oleksandr Babych, Serhiy Kovalets and Yuriy Kalytvintsev.
The club has already held talks with Babych, but, as UA-Football has learned from its own sources, he refused. Babych is not averse to returning to work in Ukraine (he is currently coaching in Bulgaria), but he does not want to return to Chornomorets.
Instead, Odesa added another specialist to the list of applicants, Vyacheslav Shevchuk, who previously coached Olimpik, then worked for Veres, and now holds a position in Rukh's management. The first contacts regarding potential cooperation between Chornomorets and Shevchuk have already taken place.
It should be noted that Chornomorets finished last season in 12th place in the UPL standings.
