Oleksandr Kucher, the former head coach of Dnipro-1, spoke frankly about the club's honorary president, Yuriy Bereza.

Oleksandr Kucher

"If I knew how much dirt one person would throw at me, I would certainly not have agreed to take over Dnipro-1. I am referring to Bereza. Dnipro-1 has always had two or three months' arrears, so I knew what I was getting into. Salary delays always have a negative impact on the team. We were also promised bonuses, but no one ever saw them. It's a shame that the managers told the whole team that we would receive bonuses for reaching the European Cup and advancing further, but in the end, they didn't pay us anything.

Why did Bereza call me and Krasnikov "scammers"? I don't know Bereza, I'm not familiar with him and I've never seen him in my life. Apparently, his life credo is to promote himself at someone else's expense. Bereza called me twice. The first time he said he was glad to see me, and the second time, after the second match with AEK, he was in some kind of inadequate state and said unpleasant things. That's why I don't want to talk about him," Kucher said.
