Zhytomyr-based Polissya categorically denied the information spread by journalist Ihor Burbas that the club's owner, Gennadiy Butkevych, had loaned Dnipro-1 UAH 200 million to enable the team to finish the last season.
"Football club Polissia strongly denies and refutes the information recently published in the media regarding any assistance or financing of FC Dnipro-1 by the president of FC Polissia Gennady Butkevich. We officially declare that this information is false.
FC Polissia condemns the publication and dissemination of unverified and false information that is harmful to our club and the entire football community. We urge all interested parties to use only verified and reliable sources of information before drawing any conclusions or making accusations public.
