Dynamo midfielder Oleksandr Andriyevsky spoke about his work at the training camp, preparations for the matches against Partizan and shared his impressions of the first friendly against Paderborn:
- During the first days it was difficult psychologically, because we all saw what happened in Kyiv - it was hard to watch. But we are all professionals, we need to do our job (at these words, Oleksandr's eyes welled up with tears).
- The team does a lot of running work, how much further do you need to improve their physical condition?
- At the moment, our teammates are running around in circles more than we are (smiles), because we worked more on functional readiness in Kyiv and in the first days in Austria. Now the training sessions are focused on tactical training and game exercises with the ball.
- Are there any concessions for experienced players?
- No, on the contrary, the coaches demand more than the young ones, but that's normal. We are more experienced, so we have to work harder than the youngsters.
- What are your impressions of the first control match with Paderborn?
- They are normal. We played this match against the backdrop of stress, we realized that it would be difficult to functionally play with such a powerful opponent. But everything is fine.
- Today's training session started in sunny weather, then there was a downpour, and now it's sunny again. Does the weather change additionally affect the course of training?
- No, it doesn't. But I will say that it is better to train in the rain than in the sun. It's not the first time we've been in Austria, so we're used to such changes.
- In general, how would you rate the conditions and quality of the lawn?
- Everything is great. We are here for a short time - for 12 days, I think the lawn will be in good condition until the end of the training camp.
- The team has already tested the new balls they will use in the Ukrainian championship, how do you like them?
- We had similar balls last year, but the Premier League changed the design a bit. In general, we are used to them.
- As a footballer who has a great shot and is a master of passing, is it important for you what kind of ball you play with?
- Of course, it is important. But I have no complaints about these balls.
- What are your expectations from the matches with Partizan in the second qualifying round of the Champions League?
- We are thinking and counting only on the group stage of the Champions League, so we are preparing for these matches as seriously as possible. We understand that it will be difficult, but we are ready for it.
